As concerns about climate change grow, parents and communities are increasingly focused on finding ways to manage household waste and teach future generations about sustainable living. Many families are looking for practical tools that can help them reduce their carbon footprint and instill eco-friendly habits in children.
Brief.
The project innovates positive reinforcement in waste management to drive communal behavioral change and promote efficient waste disposal awareness for future generations.
Research.
The project had to begin with understanding the current problem areas in the domestic waste-management in apartments and knowing who were the key stakeholders involved in the current ecosystem.
Ideation.
The ideation intent was to improve better decision making skills for individuals keeping the accountable of the decisions they make. Creating action and impact at grass root levels.
Prototype.
The seamless integration of physical and digital touchpoints of the service had to be mapped and iterated upon. Making it easy for users to accommodate the new system in their current lifestyle.
Showcase.
Sortify: A smart waste-management system fostering grassroot behavioral change through gamified sorting, tracking, and rewards. By combining incentivization, gamification with real-time feedback Sortify enables users to track, sort, and reduce waste effectively, fostering a sustainable lifestyle while promoting environmental awareness.
